TASER makes the famous stun gun. Their Flex 2 camera is used by law enforcement officers as a POV camera that is attached to eyeglasses. It is connected to a controller that is magnetically held in place on the officer's shirt. Interestingly, the camera has a 2-minute buffer running so activity is recorded before hazardous activity takes place.

The shoe here is constructed with carbon fiber—it's not the least bit flexible! The inserts are used to change the angle of the foot in the shoe so that the knee doesn't flex. With the shoe being affixed to the pedal crank, it's very effective.

This LightWave 3D technical illustration was is of a heavy-duty cable wrapped in Kevlar - the stuff they make bullet-proof vests out of - and coated with a heavy vinyl outer covering. The Kevlar braid was the hardest part to model. I can't say why, but I just love this drawing! Done in NewTek LightWave.

This is a drawing I did just for grins in FreeHand MX quite awhile ago. I just came across it, and still like it. It's all vector, and could be done in Illustrator today much more easily with the Gradient Mesh tool. At the time, I lived in the Pocono mountains of Pennsylvania.

This is my idea for a single-cup "pod" type coffeepot design.

In 2000 (the good old days) film was being pushed out by the digital age. I needed a way to scan and correct my transparencies, of which I had several hundred. I created the Illuminox light box that attached to the side of a CRT monitor. With its magnifying lens, you could closely compare colors and details of the original image to a properly calibrated monitor. The Illuminox fit film sizes from 35mm to 4x5. I did all the research, writing and drawing for the patent. I made the prototype from acrylic sheets that I molded in the kitchen oven. Sure wish it would have sold!
